Citizenship Washington Focus

C WF

Take your 4-H experience to another level! Citizenship Washington Focus (CWF) is an exciting seven-day (July 1-7, 2012) citizenship program for youth age 15-19. CWF delegates learn about the democratic process and their role as citizens while they experience our nation’s capital.

Ten to fifteen states participate each week in group discussions, tours to points of interest, visits with senators and congressmen, listening to guest speakers, and exchanging program ideas and information with their fellow delegates from across the United States.

The cost for 2012 will be $900.00 which includes meals, lodging at the National 4-H Center, and transportation from time of departure until return, and health insurance. The group travels by chartered bus.

Scholarships are available. Each participating county will receive two $130.00 scholarships from the Park Fund of the West Virginia 4 H Club Foundation. However, each county must send two delegates in order to collect two scholarships. The WVU Extension Office is contacting the local Ruritan Clubs for financial support for Pendleton 4-H Members. Once you have committed to attending 2012 CWF, a total will be provided to you.
